Student Spotlight

Having begun his academic journey at Ability School in the Beginners class at age four, Matthias has been a student at Ability School for ten years.

Currently in the Middle School, he is a conscientious and diligent student whose understanding and competence with the materials is consistently evident upon examination. 

Once a shy student, he has blossomed into an outgoing and expressive individual, who has even taken to the spotlight, holding leading roles in several of our theatre productions.

In the classroom he has grown into a caring leader who is responsible and is looked up to by peers and younger students alike. His disciplined and mild mannered demeanor consistently sets a wonderful example for others and he is a joy to have in the classroom and a wonderful friend to his fellow classmates.

During difficult changes, such as the recent switch to distance learning, Matthias has taken every change in stride and has maintained a great sense of humor that helps to keep the entire class upbeat. While continuing to steadily progress and stay on track in his own studies during this difficult situation, he also offers his fellow classmates help whenever needed.

Perhaps a far more focused student than your average seventh grader, Matthias knows when to hone in on his studies and when it’s indeed time to add a bit of much needed silliness!
